TPE Environmental Material Is Used for The First Time in Radiators
Just a short time ago, the domestic radiator manufacturer launched a group of UF series chassis fans. Its most important feature is the use of TPE environmental protection material package. This material has previously been widely used in the field of communications and automotive. But it is the first time it is applied to radiator products.
If the TPE environmental protection material into the radiator products, what effect will it have? According to our actual test, in the same tower radiator using TPE material fan and an ordinary fan, thanks to the better damping effect of TPE material, TPE material fan in the silent effect is more advantageous. In addition, because of the environmental characteristics of the TPE material, the fan made of this material can greatly reduce the harm caused by chemical materials to the human body.
The unique feature of this chassis cooler is that the fan frame is closely wrapped with a layer of TPE environmental rubber of appropriate thickness. This is an innovative use of the secondary injection molding and rubber wrapping process in the manufacture of DC brushless fans. The new process allows two completely different textures of rubber and plastic to be perfectly combined in the fan’s support structure, giving full play to the delicate touch and unique texture of the rubber material and providing users with a new experience.
Specifically, TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) is rubber with high elasticity, high strength, and high resilience, but also has the characteristics of injection molding process. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and safe, has a wide range of hardness, excellent coloring, soft to the touch, weather resistance, fatigue resistance and temperature resistance, and processing performance is superior. TPE does not need to vulcanize, can be recycled to reduce costs, both secondary injection molding, and PP, PE, PC, PS, ABS and other substrate materials wrapped bonding but also can be molded alone. Such characteristics are undoubtedly ideal for the application of cooling fans.
In addition, thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) have the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber and the processability of thermoplastics. Since they do not need to be heat vulcanized, they can be produced using common plastics processing equipment. This feature shortens the production process of the rubber industry by 1/4, saves energy consumption by 25%-40%, and improves efficiency by 10 times-20 times, which is another material and process technology revolution in the rubber industry.
The rubber wrapping layer can effectively reduce the vibration of the fan at work, thus improving the noise pollution of the fan and creating a quiet working environment. The soft rubber layer can also provide good sealing performance and can avoid damage to the appearance of contact parts during installation and use, thus reducing the investment of special needs users and protecting the safety of their assets. The product is designed with universal appearance and mounting dimensions, and can be widely used in all traditional fan applications such as personal computers, servers, and industrial control equipment.
In recent years, with the increasing frequency of domestic and international exchanges, some domestic TPE manufacturers have also begun to develop towards halogen-free flame retardants, which has a far-reaching impact on China and the world.
